The 9th edition of Theatre of Remembrance has happened and now it’s time to look back on the achievements of our youngsters and European partner theatres.

On the 27th of January, International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we marked 81 years since the liberation of Auschwitz. On January 27th, and in the surrounding weeks, we commemorate those whose lives were forever altered by one of the darkest chapters in the history of humanity. Through theatre performances played by youngsters across Europe we embrace this moment with a commitment to amplifying silenced voices and building bridges of empathy in a world that is still healing. In our present time of division and hate we tried to bring hope for stronger societies built on unity and compassion.

Today, we’re excited to share our aftermovie for the 2026 edition of Theatre of Remembrance. The aftermovie provides a snapshot of the 10 performances across the Czech RepublicDenmarkGermanyHungary, ItalyPoland (Warsaw & Goleniów)the Netherlands (Amsterdam & Camp Westerbork), and Slovakia.

We hope watching the aftermovie gives you a sense of the breadth and depth of the project, as well as the site-specific nature of the performances. From art galleries to museums to former transit camps, and many other locations relevant to the stories of the elderly from each our partner locations, it was another memorable and resonant edition of the project.
